Futuring is a multifaceted process that involves systematically exploring and analyzing the future to inform decision-making in the present. It's a collaborative and creative approach that combines scientific data, trend analysis, scenario building, and imaginative thinking to envision a range of possible futures.
This is the basis on which I have built a studio project. Movie Prop Production allows for gamification of designing for the future, without getting stuck in the depressing sustainability problems.
Students show a lack of interest and feel sad when doing research about the sustainability due to the nature of our world, this kind of research brings talk about policies, world economies and the ever faltering leadership towards a sustainable future. This inspired an idea to provide a context, build an imaginary world and create products of that future for a user of this world.
Here, Students are asked to create objects from a sci-fi movie, tv show or a Book.
